About the Employment Pact

The Quebec City region is mobilizing to meet the challenge posed by the need for qualified workers. At the initiative of the Department of Employment and Social Solidarity (MESS), an Employment Pact was drawn up to help companies throughout the region meet their growing labour needs. The Pact aims to improve workers' skills and performance and to expand the pool of qualified workers. The Department of Immigration and Cultural Communities (MICC) and the City of Quebec have also joined forces to develop concrete and effective local solutions. Together with Emploi-Québec (the provincial employment agency), the MICC and the City of Quebec are supporting the organization of recruitment missions outside the Quebec City region, in association with Québec International and the Quebec City Chamber of Commerce.
